Hello Table Tennis members,
Some of you may already be aware of the changes we are making to Table Tennis membership.
From 1st April 2025 we are discontinuing a separate membership category of Table Tennis.
Those who wish to play table tennis at the club, will need to have a normal membership, just like any other users. The thinking behind this is, playing table tennis uses a court in the same way as playing squash or racquet ball.
The applicable membership categories are –
| Full | Can play anytime |
| Full-time student | Can play anytime |
| Joint (two people living at same address | Can play anytime |
| Junior u19 | Off-peak times only* |
| Off-Peak | Off-peak times only* |
* Unless playing with a Full member or equivalent.
We are also making changes to off-peak memberships. These members cannot book a peak court, but can now play at any time if the court is booked by a Full member (or equivalent), without paying a guest fee.
Current table tennis members will have their membership changed to Off-Peak before renewal notices are sent out. Please let me know if you would like a different membership category.
