I hope you are well - and enjoying your squashing and racketballing!
So - A couple of updates, things going on down the club and general "stuff" to be aware of!
1. Squash leagues have now kicked off (Thanks to Jamil for sorting this) - If you are interested in joining the squash leagues - please ping either Jamil or myself a note - and we can get you included in the next cycle!
2. Im about to kick off the Racketball ladder again - it was pretty succesful when doing sides earlier this year - so it will be great to get a full court racketball ladder started - if you are interested in joining the ladder - please could you email me at stuiesav@gmail.com with a subject of "join the ladder" and i will add you onto the ladder board accordingly.
3. Court 1 refit - You may have noticed that the flooring on court 1 is less than prime! This coming monday, for 5 days, court 1 will be offline as Melior squash refit the underpinnings, flooring and tin. This will be a fantastic upgrade for the club - and should it go well, we will be looking into scheduling courts 2 & 3 at some point in the future. There will obviously be trades folks working on the courts, making noise and moving materials about etc - please be tolerant - as we get this work completed.
4. PSA event - Please mark Sat 14th and Sun 15th of August in your diary - PSA squash is back at Cheam - Want to come and watch some awesome squash whilst having a beer - this will be your chance to watch some world class players hitting on our courts, fighting for PSA world tour ranking points
5. Sat 31st July - We are going to have a club night, with a "play a pro" session hosted by Neal Brooker and Jack Martell hitting with us all followed by an exhibition match - and of course a few cheeky beers during and after! More on this to come!
