Racketball Handicap Competition *AMENDED DATE*

Racketball Handicap Competition UPDATE

**** FINAL IS ON FRIDAY 22nd March *****

Dear Members

After the success of the Squash Tournament that was held before Christmas is has been decided that we will now run a Racketball Handicap Competition.
The idea behind making it a Handicap is that hopefully it will appeal to all standards of players and some that may have never played before, it just gives people a chance to play someone they have never played before and maybe have beer ( soft drink ) afterwards.

The competition will run from Monday the 26th of February with the finals being played on FRIDAY EVENING 22nd of March.
So please put this in your diary :-)

The format/scoring will be best of five games, first to 11 points - if 10/10 then 2 points clear. To give you an idea on how the Handicap will work please see below -

If player A has been given and handicap of -10 and player B has been given a handicap of +5 then player A starts on -15 and player B starts on 0. The handicaps always have to be netted out so the player with the more favourable handicap starts on 0. Another example of this is if player A is -10 and player B is -5 then player A starts on -5 and player B starts on 0 ( if there are any questions around this i am here to take any calls but it will become clearer once the draw has been done).

If you are interested in playing there will be a sign up sheet posted on the downstairs notice board at the club and also posted online. As the competition is due to start on the 26th I would like to have the names of those who wish to take part by Friday the 23rd Feb.

Cheers
