Dear Members,
As most of your are aware now (from the updates I have given in the Cheam Squash WhatsApp community group) England Squash have posted their guidelines for dealing with COVID-19
Unsuprisingly they have advised all squash facilities are to close in the short term.
With this in mind im afraid that as of midday today, the club has been closed.
Myself and the committee will continue to track the situation - and as soon as we possibly can, we will re-open the club.
I also know that we are in the middle of club membership renewals - Id like to urge people to still renew their memberships as we still have the running costs of the club (rent etc) and obviously want to keep the club in good financial health and able to stay open
With regards to renewal, what we will look to do is extend the membership year to run from when the club re-opens - so you will still get a full years membership.
With no court costs coming through in this period, membership is how we will keep the club afloat!
Finally - please keep well and safe - and look forwards to seeing you on a squash court reasonabily soon!
