Dear member,
If attending the EGM, they must bring their membership cards to ID themselves and to confirm entitlement to vote as a Full Member.
As we are less than 24 hours away from the EGM, tomorrow only replacement cards will be issued to an existing Full Member who has mislaid their card and can be verified. We hope no one in that position would have left it so late but the offer is there in case of need.
• The EGM will start at 7:30pm prompt in the Connolly Room.
• Seating will be provided.
• There will be a secret ballot rather than a show of hands.
• The ballot is a simple yes or no. Yes to support the motion to expel. No to reject the motion.
• Any member requiring physical assistance to vote will be looked after by the Club Secretary.
• The ballot papers will be counted once all those wishing to have voted.
• The count will take place in front of all present and the papers left out for inspection, should any member present wish to do so.
• The result, which is binding, will then be announced and the EGM closed.
We do not expect the EGM to be lengthy in terms of time and for those who do not attend the Clubhouse regularly, the bar closes at 10pm (rather than the usual 11pm) on Mondays.
